VIMEO EXCLUSIVE: Can 2012 Olympic athletes carry a tune? Award-winning producer Mark Ronson proves they can, but perhaps not in the way you might expect.
For his new track “Anywhere In The World,” Mark combined vocals by Katy B with sporting sounds such as the twang of a bow and arrow, the thump of a racing heart, and the bounce of a ping-pong ball to create an anthem for the London 2012 Summer Olympics, which begin later this month. But how did a song made from such extraordinarily different sources come together?
In Coca-Cola’s documentary “Move to the Beat,” you can follow Mark as he travels the globe with boom mic in hand, sampling sounds of the world’s greatest athletes as they train for the Games. And after you watch the video, you can submit questions for Mark in the comments section right here — he’ll answer the hottest queries in a special video just for us next week. Stay tuned!
